1.20 Leak By Salted In Discord

I mean, it's Gavel Reborn, the grand update that noone expects to come but comes anyway in the moment of surprise, much like the 1.17 Caves and Cliffs update it has to be big and large as to seem grand due to updating such a major part of the game.

 

Yes, but my problem is that it touches Wynn too and quite a bit. And from what I have seen only 3 quests were added, so there are still big grind gaps in 60s and 90s and 100+. This adds too much too diverse things. I feel like this just adds more bugs while some of the features (Housing, Champion, pets, etc.) could be in 1.21 which would be released sooner.

Nothing against the work of CT, but I think they could just make 2 updates instead.

 

Salted said on discord a few weeks ago that he also wishes that the updates didn’t balloon into enormous things that could instead have been multiple smaller updates. They are aware of how the updates swell up like this, but I think it’s hard to deny ideas and delay making stuff when the ct is made of volunteers. There’s also the fact that since it’s in minecraft, they can’t really work on random stuff and then take it out or stitch it in on a whim. Making content for Wynn probably takes even more overhead management than a normal videogame because of those reasons. I agree with you, and I also am even more impressed with the Wynn team because of how much they do and how Wynn is still a free to play game.
