World 【 Quest 】【 Caved In】【 Currently 105 Supporters! 】【 The Cow Likes It! 】

So, uh I decided to make a quest, since I see a lot of other people doing it.
Eh, if this gets a lot of support I might apply for GM.

Anyway, here goes nothing.
Quest Name: Caved In
Min Level: 94
Difficulty: Easy
Talk to Miner Affron at X= 1524 Y= 45 Z= -5302

Pre-Quest:

[1/2] Miner Affron: Halt! I cannot let you into this cave, for it has collapsed and people have been trapped inside!
[2/2] Miner Affron: I cannot let enter in until you are level 94.

Quest Start:

[1/7] Miner Affron: Hello, brave adventurer.
[2/7] Miner Affron: We've been digging for crystals for a long time now...
[3/7] Miner Affron: But something happened, the roof collapsed in.
[4/7] Miner Affron: Maybe you could help us get to the miners!
[5/7] Miner Affron: Hmm, we could blow our way in...
[6/7] Miner Affron: Aha! I have an idea! Try to find me [1 Match], [1 Box of TNT] and [3 Bottles Of water] I'm sure the miners will be very thirsty.

The items will be scattered all over Dogovi, and you will have to find them (Besides the Water Bottles, you will have to travel to Somewhere else to get those >:D)

Before you get the items:

[1/2] Miner Affron: So? Have you found the items?
[2/2] Miner Affron: No? Quickly, go find them!

[1/7] Miner Affron: So? Have you found the items?
[2/7] Miner Affron: Good. Now we can construct the bomb.

Affron quickly creates a small explosive, and sets it down by the blockage.

[3/7] Miner Affron: Stand back!

[ a cinematic happens, showing the blockade of cobblestone and gravel being blown up. ]

You cough and splutter as dust flies all around you

[4/7] Miner Affron: The path is now clear! You can venture down into the caves and find those lost miners now!
[5/7] Miner Affron: But beware, the cave still may not be stable.
[6/7] Miner Affron: Don't let that bother you, though!
[7/7] Miner Affron: Good luck, brave adventurer.

[ You head down the cave and get teleported into another one ]

[1/1] Lost Miner: Help us! We're trapped in here!

[You hear the very ceiling above you crack, it's going to give way!]

You pass out for a good hour. You wake up to a bright gleam coming from the next cave over. You should probably check it out.

(Quest Book Updated: Examine the mysterious crystal)

[1/1] Saved Miner: Woah, what's that!? Go check it out man!

You walk into the cave and find a huge crystal (Like the one in WynnExcavation site D, But Cyan & Light blue coloured)

(Quest Book Updated: Pick up one of the shards and show it to Miner Affron)

[1/1] Saved Miner: I think I can see light from over there!

[1/6] Miner Affron: Oh my godness, I've been worried sick!
[2/6] Miner Affron: You saved these miners, thank the lords!
[3/6] Miner Affron: Oh.. Oh my...
[4/6] Miner Affron: Is that the super rare Tansalite gem?! Those are worth a fortune!
[5/6] Miner Affron: I hope you don't mind me taking it off your hands-- Here, have some emeralds
[6/6] Miner Affron: This is the least I can give you, thank you so much!

Really well thought out quest and it also includes a lot of detail. If you havn't already applied for GM I suggest you do. One small mistake I see is at the pre quest it says [1/2] for both messages instead of [1/2] then [2/2].

 

I like this. A nice and short easy quest that helps with leveling up. But I'm a bit confused. What does the cave with the crystals have to do with saving the miners?

 

Good point, I'll add something which explains the crystal in the mines

it's also just to add a little bit of spice to the quest :p

Probably something like

'Wow! We've been looking for this for ages m9!'

 

Not bad. In fact, pretty good! But...
1. Proper stats for their damage. You should also mention that they have 999999 health and 999999 regen or something, just to make it look more complete, even if it seems silly.
2. The last dialogue is a bit odd. Namely, "Is that the super rare transalite gem?" Maybe more like: "Wow... Is that a Transalite gem? Those are worth a fortune! You don't mind if I take it off your hands, right? Here, I'll pay you back."

 

I feel like there should be at least one relatively easy puzzle in it, otherwise it's a really nice quest. +1

 

Eh, I'd rather it not have any puzzles, since it's purely supposed to give exp, and it's not supposed to be hard or anything...

And to give a lil' use to Dogovi :P

Are you serious? Quests do help for leveling up, but that's not what I use quests for. I play quests for the story. I find it interesting, when the quest is fun. This has little story, little play through. This quest has no story, and barely any play through. The quest can still be a thing, if majorly fixed up. +0 support.

 

For an easy Quest the reward is way too big, and the first stage is basically just too fetch-quest like. Aside of that, it is kinda alright!

 

Not all quests are heavily lore based. ._. And lots of people get VERY high leveled (90-98) Only doing quests and a few dungeons
This isn't supposed to be a jolly quest, it's purposely a filler quest. ;-; just a little help with grinding the 90s is all :(
Plus when you play quests like Maltic's Well, or Potion Making do you have fun with that? I assume no, this is like one of those quests...

Fair point. I'm defo nerfing that LE reward, and probably nerfing the bracelet, too. I think the xp should stay the same, considering many other 'easy' quests give about 1/8 - 1/3
Also, fetch quests are kinda annoying, but aren't they meant to be annoying? I like to think it that way, really. It's only half-fetch, like the Grave Digger quest.

I like the quest idea, but I feel that you should say where in Dogovi you find the items to make the bomb, and also the exp is quite low, 1/8th!?
At high levels I think you need lots of exp to eliminate tons of grinding, and I'd also buff the bracelet, maybe have a health boost as it's themed around fire? Overall, great job!

 

This is a really cool quest! I'd love to see it put in game, you should apply with it!
This is just me but I think that maybe the bracelet should be air themed since it's called "Miner's Breath" This is just my opinion but the bracelet is great how it is now.
I hope to maybe see this quest sometime in the future! +1 supporter :D

 

It's not a particularly hard quest, that's why you don't get much xp

It's supposed to be like the Miner's last words for help, and with the firey-theme of the molten heights added. If it ever got added I'd hope it would be a key compoment of a tank/exploding build :3
