    you can include all the weird interactions like how some stats like ws take ~4-5s to load onto your character if you don't prompt a change in your stats (by changing weapon or sth)

    Mana regen is /5s and mana steal is /3s. That means it averages out to /4s so the game is still flawless and correct ☺️

    You know what, yes. I'm going to try to calculate the actual mana steal time that would exactly balance mana regen being every 5 seconds.
    Firstly, I suppose I should explain why/show that 5 and 3 do not balance correctly. They would if they were the numerators, but since they are the denominators. they do not. If you have, for example, 4/3 ms and 4/5 mr, after 4 seconds, you will get 16/3 ms + 16/5 mr = 80/15 ms + 48/15 mr = 128/15 total mana, which is not equal (but is close) to the normal 8 you would get if they were both 4/4.
    If we want to get 8 total mana, the 3 will need to be slightly increased to compensate for 128 being too large. (Or the 5, actually, but I'm going to mess with the 3 since more people know about the 5, I think.) 8 times 15 is 120, so if the 16/5 (or 48/15) mr stays the same, the 16/3 ms must turn into a value equal to 72/15 ms, or 14.4/3 ms. Multiplying both the numerator and the denominator by 16/14.4 gives 16/3.33.
    Therefore, if my math here is correct, mana steal needs to be changed to proc every 3.33 seconds rather than every 3 if we want them to average to /4s. Alternatively, they could both be changed to /4s, but that'd be boring and I wanted to do this. (I'm fairly certain there are quicker ways to do this, but this was the most obvious one and I'm too lazy to think of another.)

    I almost died laughing when I saw "wynncraft is a very flawless game" but yeah the way stealing works is really stupid, I actually made a thread around a month ago with a proposal for a life steal rework and this is why, it just sucks on anything other than super slow because of how inconsist it is

    indeed that's a bug. next patch we will change the item tooltips to reflect the proper amount without changing how regen/steal itself works. it's the least disruptive way to fix this for now, knowing IMs have to deal with the strength/dexterity changes in the short term first. we may change it to a consistent 4s on a later date if needed, but no promises.

    and just so y'all know, these IDs didn't always have the wrong values. a bug messed things up a while back and nobody noticed until recently

    But isn't the MR still /4s because it takes 5 ticks to activate but each tick is .8s iirc?

    It's actually very unsettling that mana steal is working better than intended, it's really bad as it is right now so if it's fixed it'll be laughably unusable, so can't wait for that to ruin spellsteal :)
