Leaned against the large, arching door frame of the shop, Erin merrily laughs in good nature as she waves goodbye to the rather generous adventurer.

"Luck be with you, my friend! Always!"

Smiling even wider, the Smith waited under the light of the setting summer sun until he disappeared from the eye before returning back into the grand grounds of the Forge.

The shopkeeper rose from her leathern desk chair to greet more visitors during her daily rounds. This time, she made her way over to the powder shelves where a feline-adventurer is gathering a number of finely-grounded blue powders.

"Ah, I've seen you've taken an interested in a few of my powders? Well, I'd gladly equip you with them."

Clearing her throat and flashing another smile, the Smith then cocks a head.

"When can we meet?"

On another round in the shop, an adventurer, with an interest to the last guest she had assisted, stood by the powder shelves.

"Hullo, how may I assist you today?"

Turning her head a little to better hear what he had to say, Erin nodded.

"Of course! When can we meet?"

Instead of being spotted polishing a bright new ware, the pin-striped proprietor of the shop sat at the large and rather cluttered oaken desk, toying with what appeared to be her beautifully crafted, though recently vandalized, phonograph that spun records upon records of music throughout the business day.

"What might have spurred such a hateful action? Was the musical taste that bad?"

Tsking to herself, she reached out to grab a small needle-like tool but upon noticing the looming shadow casting its shade on the object, she looked up to lock eyes with the face across from her.

"Hullo, welcome to the Forge! How may I assist you today?"

The adventurer clad in black and reddish garments then explained their interested in a certain pair of leggings displayed in the catalog of the shop. However, a frown soon pulled onto the merchant's lips upon hearing the name of such item.

"Unfortunately, the leggings have been off store shelves for a while now! I suppose removing it from the item list slipped my mind. My apologies."

 

No worries, I managed to get my hands on a pair.

 

Flashing another smile to the adventurer, the shopkeeper then nods.

"Alright, then. Thank you for visiting the Forge! You are always welcomed back at your leisure!"

Letting out a light chuckle, the Smith then waved at the darkly-attired guest before their figure became lost in the sea of oncoming customers.

 

BUMP

Stretching her tired arms in the air as the last shop visitor marches on out of the Forge, Erin decides to take advantage of this moment of peace by slumping down into the soft, welcoming plushness of her great desk chair. Quiet minutes like this have become a scarcity in recent tidings, as the merchant has found-- but she wouldn't have it any other way.

"Such a lovely crowd. And to think, this establishment only opened roughly two months ago!"

Edging a humbled smile across her lips, the Smith mediated on the fortune brought into her doors. Attending to customers and all the interactions in between were a delight. Truly, she loved running the Forge despite never having planned this career of becoming a merchant. Finally, after giving herself a few more good moments of thought, the shopkeeper stood up and flipped the store sign signifying the availability of service to 'closed', before shuffling over to the door that hid the personal wing of the warm establishment.

"Hopefully turnouts will remain fantastic as they are. I hope to see more new, as well as old, faces in forge grounds!"

And with that, the makeshift marketeer closed the little door behind her as she went off to get a good weekend's slumber.

The shopkeeper swiveled in her great big desk chair towards the nearby window. It was a beautiful day, sunlight poured its golden rays onto the earth, wisps of smoke chimneyed out of neighboring buildings, and the sky was a stunning baby blue. Days like this were invaluable, however, with the calmness about the shop, it seemed that something was missing...but before she could pinpoint what it was, the sound of footsteps neared the merchant and she turned to face them.

"Hullo, welcome to the Forge. Could I help you?"

The figure before her was an adventurer, an assassin adventurer as well. Not long after her asking, they gave their inquiry and the Smith nodded.

"I would be glad to equip you with such a weapon! It will be available for pick-up tomorrow during the shop hours listed on the bulletin."

As I scroll through pages upon pages of endless shops, I've yet to find one that has such a creative, active owner. The Forge is a great 'next page' in your personalized book of adventure. Each experience is unique, each customer leaving very satisfied. Highly recommend.
