Knight Iguva saluted to Tyrinel as he appeared behind the door.

"On what business am I called?" Tyrinel looked up into the air— and felt the air tense.

"Witch's miasma...." He whispered to himself.

Knight Iguva looked at the man. "The Capital was put up to crimson alert. Unknown threats in the northern part of the city, near to where we are. There had been a large number of civilian casualties. We need assistance of every healing artist in the city."

 

"Very well", Tyrinel mutters. He exits the room and motions the knight to lead the way.

 

"What? What does that mean?" I ask her, daring to get out of my cover to se what my Ul Fula had done.
Satisfied with the chains not being madly flung at me, I get back to my cover and crack a smile.
"Maybe I can get out of this..."

 

The Knight, with inhuman reflexes, leaps over the arms and lands on the other side, smoothly.

He turns towards Rathius. "I hope you're not misunderstood. I am not one of the cultists."

Rathius had his hand on his sword. But stopped. He looked at the knight in wonder.

"You know the Witch Cult?"

The expression of the knight darkened. "They are people I have deep ties with. Are they in this city? What is the condition?"

He looks at the man. "Yeah, they are here. I don't know how many, but things are bad."
He looks around. "We need to get to the shelter, we can't fight them on our own."

Spoiler: Background

Scythes: the Royal Castle's protector from 400 years ago during the time of the Witches. Their life span is strictly limited to 100 years: they age 5 times slower than normal humans, so they age 20-years worth before they find a successor and turn to ash.

The line of Scythes is bound by a single spirit named Izanami. She takes form of a large black scythe, and contracts with each generational Scythe. However, Izanami's memory is also reset every 100 years, and thus when a new Scythe is chosen, a practically new Izanami is born every time.

Archibaud is a false name given by the former Scythe. He was an orphan found in the slams of the Capital, and he made contract with Izanami when he was 12 years old. Ever since, he had served 24 years as a Scythe. His contracted spirit, Izanami, is a young-looking girl with long pitch-black hair that reached her waist. She can turn into her scythe form to become Archibaud's weapon.

Archibaud is one of the most skilled fighter in the Capital. However, he is absolutely unable to use magic, even though he is technically a spiritual user

Race: Human

Occupation: 5th Generation of Scythe, Arcuntar Kingdom.

Appearance: He is an ordinary-looking youth, with long black hair tied in a ponytail behind his head.

Equipment: He equips only a dark cloak which lets him hide his presence. His spirit Izanami turns into a magnificent black scythe. A small dagger to protect himself when apart from Izanami

Ability: Extreme fighting potential with a scythe. Able to fight with almost any weapons possible.

Magic: None.

Divine Blessing: None.

Contract: Great Spirit Izanami. No magic can be used due to contract. However, her presence increases his physical attributes to an inhuman level.

Iguva leads Tyrinel down the street. There was not a shadow of a person in this tiny section of city. There were marks of blood and violence on the ground.

"What happened here?" Tyrinel asked Iguva. The knight, without turning, explained.

"Witchfiends appeared all of a sudden inside this section of town, and started attacking people."

"Witchfiends?" Tyrinel frowned. "There are barriers in this city— witchfiends should be unable to enter."

"That's what we all thought." Iguva sighed frustratedly. "They just came out of nowhere. They all seemed to follow—"

The ground shook. Cracks appeared on the floor, slowly spreading across the pavement.

The smell of miasma———!!!

Tyrinel leapt away from the fissure forming on the ground. There was something dangerous under the earth—

"Knight Iguva!" Tyrinel realised that the man had not moved from on top of the fissure. "What are you doing!? Get off from there!"

Iguva turned towards Tyrinel slowly, an expression of despair on his face. That was when Tyrinel understood what was happening.

Numerous tentacles that rose from the ground had wrapped around the knight's legs, trapping him. Before Tyrinel could go and assist the man, the ground exploded, and an enormous shape rose into the air, swallowing the knight whole.

It was a huge earthworm-like witchfiend.

The monster gave an unearthly howl and turned its head towards Tyrinel.

 

Your old character was also a Scythe, right? Or atleast the next generation.

Ur Fula is a blast of wind. It knocked the chains away from Angela, only.

Bellatrix didn't pay any attention to the wound on her back. She turned and gave Angela a grin.

Before Angela could react, the crowd around the Sin of Lust finally started moving. (They had been standing oddly quiet until now.)

"Wait... guys!?" Angela looked around at the men and women that were slowly approaching. She shivered from the pure hostility that were in those peoples' eyes.

 

She was being trained by a Dullahan that was a Scythe if i recall correctly

 

lol I'm glad you guys remember all these stuff. Yes, the things are a bit different now.

The youth shook his head. "I don't agree to your idea. If Witch Cultists are in this city, it is our job to protect the public from their horrifying powers."

Rathius bit his lip, unable to shake away the knight's resolve.

The knight's expression softened. "If you are trying to keep me out of this, you should stop trying. I don't mean to boost, but if we come to a fight with them, I can contribute." He opened his palm, and six orbs of light appeared.

"A spirit user...." Rathius muttered.

 

I just supposed they stopped when ya said they were knocked back at her. Guess not really

"Hey, don't listen to her, she's a lunatic!" I cry in an attempt to make them snap out of the Sin's Authority, tho knowing it won't work
I look back at the Sin, imagining what I could do to hurt her. "Healing...? If she makes people get hurt then it might be effective on her..."
As I think that I also look around for any remains of the house that I could hit with an arrow, making it fall over and give me some time
