I looked at the ruins

(OH NOOO, UNDERTALE REFERENCE xD?)

 

"Yes, though not as crude as you imagine. Dreams are wonderful things." He summons a thick book, and the book flips to a page. "A series of thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in a person's mind during sleep." he reads out, before tossing the book in front of you. All the pages say "DREAM DREAM DREAM DREAM" again and again.

It's your average ruins. You feel the urge to go in there and have an adventure, and maybe claim some treasure.

 

"Fine."
I shoot five arrows in a vertical fashion, towards him, in the center of where he's standing.

 

I walked in the ruins and looked around, I took out Blazeburst and it bursts into flames, creating light

 

"Imagine... Last time I did that, I imagined I wasn't - ohhh wait... Well, damn."
"So, this is pretty much me being delusional while I'm asleep? That seems kinda far-fetched."

 

He shakes his head. "You're missing the point. You're not being delusional, you're dreaming. Your mind is creating scenarios for you, which you can join, and feel as if it is reality." He shakes his head again. "It's a shame, really. Growing up like that. Genetically engineered, no future, no destiny other than to serve."

OOC: By the way, since you are dreaming, the guy is able to access your memories and stuff. In fact, the guy may just be a part of your dream.

The ruins are rather creepy. Shadows form on the walls from your sword. The ruins look like ruins of some kind of a prison. You turn around a corner to see a skeleton lying on the ground, staring at you with cold, dead eyes.

He skillfully blocks the arrows with his gauntlets. "Come on, is that the best you can do?" He taunts.

 

"Screw this..." I ran back out to the entrance

 

"Sounds like the same thing to me. Besides, out here, aren't I broken from that misery? I mean, yeah, I have no idea how I'm going to manage here, but I figure it's a step in the right direction... as long as it's away from that freakin' desert..."

 

He shakes his head. "You cannot escape your past. One day you'll have to face your past head on, either here or in your world. For now, you've just gotten yourself mixed up with the events that will inevitably doom this province. When you decide you've had enough, you know where to find me." He hands you a note. You feel like you know what's going to be written on it.

You run back out to the entrance. You're back to where you were when you fell.

 

"Just about on cue..." I mutter, looking at the note.

 

"Is all you can do defend?"
I retort.
I shoot where is gauntlets are, then his knees, the the sides of him, then his head.

 

I grabbed Aircut and boosted myself with speed, I went into a stance and dashed in high-speeds, running up the walls

 

"This'll do...probably."As there isn't anything else worth investigating,I keep on walking and exploring the Forest.
'Let's just hope that I can get to somewhere safe before that person shows up again.'

 

I fly up to see what i sense is approching

 

You see several large catapults being loaded with flaming rocks. You hear a shout, and they all fire towards you.

You continue to walk along the forest. Not much of interest. After a while, you get to a small home. Smoke is coming out of the chimney. Probably a hermit.

You do this, and successfully get out of the hole.

He rolls out of the way of the arrows. "Is all you can do be weak?" He retorts.

It's blank. The man laughs. "Did you really think I'd pull that trick on you twice?"

 

I dashed my way back to Hellwood

 

You run through the forest at a high speed. This continues for a couple of minutes. When you stop, its still forest and forest everywhere.

 

"Oh my god..." I scoffed and continued to run

 

You continue to run. After a while, you reach the edge of the treeline...only to see another treeline a few feet away. Just a small clearing. Perfect for an ambush.

 

"Tsk..."
