Without opening my eyes, I say, "Hiding from me won't do you much good. Show yourself."

 

I feel refreshed anyways.
"Hell, I'll take this over the Generator any day." I say to myself.

I look at the writing, hoping I can read it.

 

You drink the river water. It is thoroughly refreshing. You notice that there are some water elementals in the river.

You sense the hiding person walk up behind you.

It is written in both the native language and the common tongue. It reads: "Today: Underwater; Tomorrow: Beach" It seems to be a schedule for what the room will be. Though apparently it only gives a one day notice. There is a knock on your door, which is odd, since the door is made of stone.

 

I take no mind of the damage and keep attacking

 

"Yes?" I call out.

 

I stand and turn around, forming a dagger behind my back as a precaution.

 

You see a hooded man. He extends out his hand, as if expecting something to be placed.

"You have been called to the training area. Please proceed there." You can hear the spider crawling away.

YOu turn around and swoop down for another rake, but a new magical forcefield stops you, leaving you with another burn. You hear Lip'x shout, "Prepare the cannons! We have it in a single spot!"

 

I open the door.
"How do I..."
I trail off.
"Weeeeell crap."

 

Attempt to destroy the forcefeild

 

You see a small map at your doorstep. It must've been left by the spider.

You charge at it again, this time smashing it. "Hurry up! The dragon's starting to move!" shouts Lip'x.

 

I pick it up and follow it to wherever the training room is.
"Well, they're certainly organized, I'll give them that."

 

"Well..." I muse, "I've seen stranger mysterious hooded men.." I keep my distance, but can't help being curious.

 

Go after the cannons and try to destroy them

 

"Whoa...!!"Not expecting that,I fell onto the ground.I try to get up hurrily and run towards to pick up the dagger I missed my throw with earlier.

 

I ignored and continued drinking

 

You get up just as he drives his sword into where you were. You grab your dagger as he pulls out his sword and throws a knife at you.

You fly around the village, searching for the cannons. You can't find any. Suddenly, Lip'x yells, "FIRE!" and the sky is lit up with fireballs. It seems "cannon" was just an adjective for the mages.

The hooded man remains silent, with his hand still outstretched, expecting something to be put there.

After a few wrong turns, you finally get to the next large cavern, the training area. It is just as large as the barracks, maybe even larger. There are different monsters training. Some are sparring, some are running, some are flying, just to name a few. A slime bounces towards you. "Propositum?" It asks in a slimy voice.

The elementals ignore you as well. You continue drinking the water. It is still refreshing.

 

"Crap. Language barriers. Uh..."
I look at the slime nervously.

 

"What do you want from me?" I ask.

 

I use my frost breath to try to dispel it

 

"Sorry. I guess I miscalculated the time I had, and didn't get them memo until sundown. But enough with excuses. I still need to do what I came here late for."
I quickly grab some non-personal armor from the side of the one of the entrances to area. I quickly put it on. It's a little less comfortable because of the hastiness of putting it on, but it'll do.
I grab my bow from my back, and enter the area.
