I nod, smiling at the rain.
I do as I'm told, glancing at my surroundings as I go.

 

You walk into the fortress. In contrast to its surroundings and overall feel, it is actually quite clean and nice. Several paintings hang from the walls, and carpets are adorned with gold trimmings. The orc walks down a spiraling set of stairs. He motions for you to follow.

It's not much, actually. They seem to be talking about taxes and the war.

"Sir, you need to check this out." He motions for you to follow him into a cave.

You walk towards the thing on the right. AS you get closer, you realize that the thing on the left and the thing on the right are actually just one large thing. It's a city. Not a small city either. It's a BIG city.

You release the blast, knocking the general's sword out of his hand. He screams in anger, and attempts to uppercut you.

Are you on the ground or are you still flying? Cause I assumed you were still flying.

You swoop down, claws extended, raking some soldiers, killing them. A fireball hits you right in the wing. +5 Kills.

"Very well." says the monster. After a while of silent walking, you and the monster approach a wall. The monster sighs. He knocks on the wall. Nothing happens.

As you attempt to swing your wand at him, he spins around, completely blocking the attack.

You continue walking. After a while, you can see some lights in the distance.

You crush the shield of the ice elemental, and take off. The remaining elementals do not chase after you.

 

I follow, a bit nervous.

 

None of this is interesting to me.
(Village buildings work like this: There are two layers of the village; the ground and the trees. The trees is where all the house are. The ground has everything else, from markets to meeting places. The house aren't actually only inside the trees, only a portion of them are. Most of them are built just having a tree support the house.)
I go up to the tree that supports my house, and scale the tree, opening the trapdoor and entering my house.

 

I teleport just behind him and drive my sword into his pelvic... area...

 

After a while of walking down the stairs, you both arrive in an extremely large cavern. There are doors as far as the eye can see. In the middle of the cavern, there are several tables and chairs. Lots of monster are relaxing and talking with each other. The orc says something to a giant spider nearby, who you assume to be a roomkeeper. The giant spider clears its throat. "Ahem. Hello, welcome to Regia Castra, the most prestigious barracks known to Dreadia. You are the new recruit, I assume?" The spider points at you. For some reason, it is aware of the fact that you are unable to speak the native language.

You enter your house. It is exactly like last time you left it. Only this time there is a note on the ground.

He misses his uppercut, and just as he turns around, you shatter his pelvis. He falls to the ground, bones everywhere.

 

I pick up the note and read it.

 

I dispel my sword, instead conjuring a warhammer, which I bring down on his skull.

 

The note reads, and in a quite elegant handwriting too, Notice: The sparring match this evening has been advanced. Please be in the match area before sundown. You realize it is way past sundown.

He attempts to shout out in the common tongue, "MERCY! MERCY! MERC-" But you cut him off. As you do this, you hear the shout of the Hellwood General sounding the retreat. +1 Kill, you savage little monster.

 

I try and enter the city.

 

OOC: Lol, what do you expect from half-wraith?

I decide to make an exit, not wanting to get too involved. I call up the location of a campsite I've set up in the western forest, then teleport.

 

I'm gonna be in some deep shit. I think.
I quickly grab an apple out of my storage cupboard, take a quick bite, and leave it on the floor of my house.
I quickly open the trapdoor, jump out, close it again, and run towards the match area.

 

I slowed down after running for ten minutes, I rest my back on a tree and fell asleep

 

"Aaahh... yes. I am."
I'm clearly nervous to the sight of most, if not all, these other monsters.

 

Seeing how he blocks the attack,I nod slightly.As our weapon clash,I hold
Revshard with both of my hands,increasing the strength on it and push forward to the attacker,attempting to break his guard."You are back....Why do you wish to kill me this much?"

 

Your attacker says nothing. As your push harder and harder, he suddenly moves out of the way, causing you to fall on the ground from your own force.

"Very good. Now, your room here in the barracks is up there." The spider points at a door near you. "It has been catered to your needs. We here at Regia Castra can guarantee a desert-free water-style environment in your barracks, styled after your needs and wants. Now then, carry on." The spider hands you a key before crawling off. This is some fancy barracks.

You awaken near a river. This was not where you last remembered where you were. Your hand appears to have caught itself in the current. Miraculously, you're leaning on a rock and not in the water drowning.

You arrive there. Your instructor looks cross beyond recognition. "What took you so long, Jace? Do you realize that it is beyond sundown?" He shakes his head. "Anyways, get suited up. Your partner is ready. Be glad that he is patient with you."

You teleport away.

You open your eyes. You are back in your camp. It looks exactly like how you left it.

You enter the city. As you enter it, a guard greets you. "Welcome to Elmijur! Capital of the Republic of Deserted Sands!" The main road leads to the town square, though there are other roads with signs on them, saying where they will lead to.

 

I take the key, stunned.
I head to what's apparently my room, unlock the door (or try to), and enter.

 

I get the feeling something isn't right.Closing my eyes and letting my mind extend outward, I scan the surrounding forest.

 

As you attempt to place the key in, the door opens. It seems you don't really need the key to open the door. Probably some kind of device to distinguish you from other monsters. You enter your room. The room, although made of rocks, looks like and feels like underwater. Some water splashes over you from an unknown source. There is a small bed in the side, and a table with a chair beside it. There appears to be a writing engraved in a stone.

Yes, this is mostly just illusionary magic, but a lot of it is still pretty legit. The things that you can feel, like the water is real stuff. The fact that the room looks like the sea are just illusions.
