I still love the original better though ;-;
About everything Arata Iiyoshi composes is amazing, and the piano version for the song is amazing as well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H98mjo9V9ow
It's also sad how some people can't appreciate the storyline without bashing on the mechanics or graphics as well. Those people are probably the same people that rated ORAS
Yeah, PMD is one of the most underrated games, despite how amazing it is. The plot twists are actually nice, the gameplay is solid without having things too overpowered (other than Smokescreen and multi-hit moves).
Graphics were decent at its time (pretty good during cutscenes). It actually manages to reach to the player's feelings very nicely, despite only being a game. The game's is far too underrated to most people.
Apart from Monster Houses. I fucking hate those with a passion.
Just carry around one or two confusion or stun orbs when going around higher level placed. It's not that reliable when most enemies have Insomnia IQ. The OHKO moves are the worst for me; you don't expect them, but they bite you in the ass when you get to level 70 on something high, like Zero Isle North.
I was stuck in Quicksand Cave for like two hours because I got ~3-5 Monster Houses in a row... They're extremely hard when you don't have an AoE move (e.g Lava Plume, though that has like 50% accuracy).
Now that I have Lava Plume, I just have to pray that I don't miss.
Or hope that I survive, hit all the enemies around me with Blaze activated.
Going headfirst into a room with mirror shield always works. The worst thing about quicksand cave for me was the sandstorms. They waste so much time and the accuracy is lowered by a noticeably large amount.
Temporal Tower... The Bronzong/Bronzor's have Heatproof AND Levitate. Add the fact that Lava Plume still has trash accuracy outside of the sandstorms, which then makes me have Treecko spam Agility so I get to spam Lava Plume over and over again...
Hail was worse imo. 100% accuracy Blizzard is disgusting.
The thing that made Temporal Tower terrible was those two pokemon. My Torchic (main) and Piplup had no moves that effected it if it had heatproof, and Mirror Shield didn't do much as well.
The thing is, I can still take them out fairly easily if I had a Special Scarf equipped. But it's still stupid how they have no weakness in the game due to them having two abilities (Dig didn't work, Flamethrower/Lava Plume didn't ohko). But then I was better off using two Hidden Powers to conserve PP.
I still carry a few gravelrocks off-hand in case that happens. It's always tedious to defeat pokemon with non-effective moves, even if you have a moderate damaging move with a lot of PP (scratch).
