Its a medium of art to explain a story in a more Eastern fashion that isn't seen in the todays western culutre and it gives you the enjoyment of a nice animated cartoon form without the awful disproportional and often lacking story found in Western cartoons

and people yell "believe in the heart of the cards"

You're not alone in your position on anime, not by a long shot. So buck up! I think you'll find a few more people than you think that you can relate with ;)
