Well, uh... my story initially started out with about 7 readers, most of them being my friends IRL. The Epic of Wynn has been around for about 6-7 months now, so someone's bound to read it sometime and start following it. Even about a month afterwards, it only had about 18 readers.
Also, the quality of the story is important. I'm not saying that if a lore doesn't have any followers that it isn't good, but people don't read what they don't want to see.
Thanks for the tip! Also if you have time maybe can you see if the quality in my lore/story is imporant? It's called The Legend of Wynn. { I asked you because everyone loves your story. Including me.}
The update rate is another factor that goes into a story that's being released chapter by chapter. One of the harsh things about this is if you don't crank out a chapter in a few months, people will stop checking. (that's what happened to me once.) That's also why I was always at least 3-4 chapters ahead of my posts in the beginning so I could still put out a chapter if I had extra homework in a week or something.
Sure, I'll see your story! Thanks for taking the time to read mine and I hope I didn't flood you with author ramblings. (if you would leave a link to your story that would be great so I don't have to go searching)
