The next time the being swang his cleaver the God caught it between his fingers and incinerated the weapon to dust. The being was taken back in surprise but resumed its attack violently. Before he could strike the God he was smitten and fell burning out of the aethers.
as the God turned around he felt his power rising as it would do if someone would be praying to him. A movement in the corner of his vision caught his eye and as he turned to look he saw a slender being with black feathery wings standing before him with a smug smile.
