A good eye helps. Even though the true artist's answer for how to improve is usually "practice", practicing only helps with helping your hand articulate itself. Having a good eye for knowing what makes your drawing bad and what makes others' drawings good really helps with making comparisons and constructive contrasts.
Eh, I have been on and off, I have been working on drawing people (mostly in class) but I can never get their arms or feet to look right. The faces are ok I guess, but I don't really know how to add color to them
Well the thing is, for me, I don't strictly draw only when Im slacking off in class. In the past, I've went to an extracurricular art school. While I haven't been drawing a whole lot in my life in its totality, I sure as hell have studied it a lot.
Although I remembered and knew what they taught me, maybe I was too young or disinterested at the time to really understand it. Only around last year did everything sudden click and make sense.
Just sitting with and talking to another artist really helps with your artistic development. Preferably someone who shares a style you'd like to obtain.
Well, I'm not sure what style I would really like to obtain, I mean, your art is really good and I want to learn to draw like that, but I'm not sure what you Mena by style.
