Keep a note that all the segments will not be uploaded at once, as I am still not done thinking of the correct things to say, as I will probably screw up horribly. But if you wish to hate on me, so be it.
Back to the talk. I go to many different profile posts, threads, and many other places around the forums. When I go to them, I usually get shocked by what they say, or other emotions. I also take an occasional trip to the shoutbox to chat with some people, but half of the time get ignored. I don't really care that much, due to me having other places to directly contact them.
Hah, I thought the forums was a place filled with happiness and joy back when I started. Heck, I even gave it a 5 star review in my mind! But as the days went on, it struck me. I kept on doing my everyday cycle, and realized something huge that changed my view COMPLETELY of the forums... equality and popularity.
Any grup of people, no matter where you go, will have more prominent personalities, or people that they talk to a lot more than others. Also, you may have been entering in the middle of a conversation in the sb.
Yeah, I see it everyday with the more-popular-active people everyday. And it's spreading to the people who win in competitions and brag in it. Popularity corrupts. :\
have you seen the, 'GG we have done it guild!' thread by kolleden? even MODS were just, uhhhhh. JohnDSi said " its a shame people suck up to you because of you being a mod' It's so sad it has come to this point.
Yeah! Remember what happened when that one guy (I forget his name) won the PvP tournament? I also agree with you on the guilds thing as well, I always feel left out on that since I lag so much and have so little time to play wynn, that I can't do almost anything while everyone else is having tons of fun apparently ;-;
I read it, and I was very disappointing with the community there. It's like, just, well... for me being here since April 16th, from my view, the community has just been getting worse... but hey, atleast we still have the people who don't do that, which is getting smaller and smaller. :\
Also Orientgamer, yeah, that was pretty darn stupid. I mean come on, for most of the people in EST timezones, we couldn't even have a chance to attend! And that guy truly thought he was AWESOME just because he won some PvP tournament and his guild was superior.
Sure, you won a pvp tournament, what does that prove for your guild? Nothing. It just proves that you're good at dang PvP! It sucks to miss out on the fun.
I sort of agree with you, 2yoil, or what they could do is get the staff to delete these kinds of threads or delete most of the comments, as their just bragging in our faces. Or even create a rule! That would probably be alot easier.
atleast remove territories. I mean have you SEEEEN how people are sometimes when it comes to guilds? one momem, " you lost 1 EB? let me give you 64 stax LE to make up for it" next moment, " wait, you're from that ONE guild that attacked THAT ONE territory back in april 2014 at exactly 2:13 PM GMT? NOPE NOT ANYMORE."
you know what? guilds could have been like, more of a YAAAYY!!! our guild has tons of experienced and nice players in the community ;D. BUT NNNNOOOOO its like, GET SHREKT SKROOB REK YOU M9 1V1 muy GILD M99
^I agree so much, I mean it is fun and all to have a guild and fight and be strategic and all that, but I feel that some are taking these guild territories WAY to seriously.
From personal experience, I can tell you that I was kicked from a guild, almost CERTAINLY because I was too low leveled or I wasn't on enough.
Obviously fighting over territories will lead to dislike, but i dont think an update like that should be removed at all. Its very possible that people, although they may be against each other within guilds, can still get along with each other outside the fighting. To take an example, most of the top, say, 30 nethers, i consider them good friends, even if they have killed me about 1000 times each.
The update has nothing to do with how people are in the community. People have always been that way, disliking each other for different reasons. This hasnt started with guilds, yet it has been made clearer, as now people can channel thier hate ingame a lot easier.
