Honestly, I hate that people say that my favorite pokemon Salamence "Sucks" because it is terrible in competative or some bull crap like that... Isn't pokemon supposed to be enjoyable? not a game where you: Breed pokemon, get a pokemon with a terrible nature, automatically = reject, re breeds gets another "bad" pokemon and then *gives it away to some random person out in the world honestly it's just stupid.
It's called trying to be the best and trying to feel like you're better than others. There's a way to make everything into a competition and sometimes that's all people want.
but it's dumb that people throw away time to breed pokemon for hours and hours like some breeding simulator, and then they throw away rejects, then they get a perfect one... and then boom you realize ten hours of your life is gone... I never said competitive was stupid I just think that it's dumb that people can't just throw a team together and do what the game is about... Battle.
I only truly like Showdown, because you don't have to throw away hours of your life breeding and evolving etc. pokemon and then getting proper hold items for one pokemon team and then battling it with pokemon that are like on fucking steroids... when I play showdown all the hard and tedious stuff is automated and done for you... a.k.a Evs and Ivs and Items and Levels... and then you can jump straight into battle.
I mean, I get the point of Competative, people want to "be the best" so they make a team with perfect Ivs and Evs give it practically steroids in game super train it, and then battle it in battles online to see if it's worthy or not... but when you get passed that, what do you have.. you litterally have just a team that you made that took you hours upon hours to make, then you battle it to see if it's worthy...
I mean, seriously I could make a team made of random pokemon with no Evs and Ivs and I can beat someone with a competitive built team, I did it once trust me, so basically it isn't really the stats, it's mostly just the pokemon and what moves they can learn :/
I mean what if you got a dog, you breeded it, and the dog that came out as a result wasn't what you wanted, would you just throw it out and start over? because if that's the case I would seriously call Peta and get them all up in your business.
Like I have tried to say in the shoutbox, but everyone is ignoring me now, is that This is MY opinion, what you have to say, doesn't really effect you. I am just asking, if you take all of that stuff away, what do you really have? Just a team that you threw away reject pokemon for.
I am just saying it's dumb that people throw away hours and hours of their lives to make a "perfect" team, when obviously, you have no idea what a "perfect team" actually is.

To be perfectly honest, if you haven't realize that Pokemon is basically stuffing animals into balls and making them your slaves, then I have no idea what you've been watching. Of course you wouldn't go ahead and breed a dog to try to make it perfect and throw those that aren't "perfect" to the SPCA or something.
There is no Pokemon that have 0 IVs, since all Pokemon have at least some good IVs in some area, and no EVs means you cheated in a shit ton of Rare Candies. Like the anime said, every Pokemon is different (to some extent) and has their own unique features. The people that spend hours upon hours just to make their team that they want can go ahead and do that, it's their choice.
It's what other people think as "fun" and "rewarding" when they finally get that perfect team that can sweep that dickhead with 6 Mewtwos. In the end, it's just a game. If this didn't exist, then there would be a TON of people that wouldn't be where they are now. Like, there's people that basically live off competitive battling (mainly Pokemon VGCs).
