Alpine, says who? I think the only announced New 3DS exclusive is a re-release of Xenoblade Chronicles for it. The only reason for that is that the amount of stuff in it is massive.
Well, I mean, I'd logically like to assume they'd do a technology boost for Gen VII, and the latest portable system from Nintendo that is actually a hardware update is New 3DS. So Gen VII is prob on New 3DS unless Pokemon Z happens.
Pokemon Z won't happen. They used to do middle games, like Crystal, Platinum, etc., but they stopped doing them. And really, when you make a middle game with pokemon, the story doesn't change so much, which is what people want with the exception with remakes.
And the release date for Ruby and Sapphire is November 21, 2002, that is 12 years before the remake, that is over a decade, while X and Y is just over a year old, so why remake a game that is so young. Therefore, Pokemon Z won't happen, and with the evidence you have proven, Gen VII will most likely be on The New 3DS.
I think that if they remake Gen 4 then they have to remake Platinum. OR/AS was fine, but I think almost anyone can agree that Platinum was better in both story and gameplay than D/P
I never played platinum, my bro got it b4 me and my mom wouldn't buy me my own. Also more proof that The New 3DS will host Gen 7 :(. So every core pokemon game on a certain system for two proper games, besides HS and RB (and excluding middle games). Say there is DP and HG on one system. And XY and ORAS have been on the 3DS. Or just to word it differently, every gen is on one system.
Gen 4 was made for the DS lite, Gen 5 was built for the DSI. Besides, Gen 4 was introduced when the DS lite was, and Gen 5 was when the DSI was. DSI was on March 28th 2010, Gen 5 Sept 18 2010. Gen 4, Sept. 28 2006, and DS lite, June 11 2006. You get where I'm going.
Once again: You could use B/W (AKA Gen 5) on the DSlite, so it's not like they were really FOR the DSi. In fact, Gen 5 was released shortly before the 3DS.
Well I think HG/SS was released to go along with the DSi, as I think only the DSi could communicate with the PokeWalker (don't take my word on that, I'm unsure)
New 3DS will obviously be coming out at the same time as Amiibo compatibility for 3DS, which is likely the same time as Wave 3 of amiibo which is in february I think. So actually, it might be a little later than that...
