Turn off all of the things that make minecraft look better

Try turning down your render distance, and remove mods that you have no intention of using. Don't try to use many Buildcraft Tanks, since they sometimes flicker, which means they count as entities. Turn particles off. Don't make too many Dynamos or Generators, Big Reactor's reactors are much more efficient, and less laggy. They're also a huge RF generator, and can be built once you have a few Yellorium ingots.

That's why I stopped playing Tekkit. I'm just playing Horizons with MineFactory Reloaded.
