i dont think its carpal tunnel, "just" rsi (no reduced grip strength, no tingling or problems moving fingers) but it's still ass now i gotta avoid using it for as long as it needs to heal

it's more in the extreme body dysmorphia, i dont know how to move like this way, and also there is some animal society with other intelligent animals and the bodies they woke up in are not theirs in a more literal sense than you usually think when reading that

my recs so far may have given it away but one of my alltime favorite concepts is "i am now in a different body and everything about it is alien and disturbing to me and now i have to go deal with it". it may surprise you to hear but i dont think it actually reflects any personal Things about me, somehow

this is right inbetween a fanfic and an official side story, but it's actually a lot better written than hunter or huntress with some really impactful moments and emotional beats

note that while it also has pretty bad grammer (especially early on) and is at times dangerously close to the wish fulfillment line where i stop enjoying stories (which is pretty low, though, i think) it's also unironically the most reasonable and believable "modern military/scientific innovation being introduced in a magic fantasy setting" story i've actually found
