The man is reluctant to abandon his post, but equally tormented by each time he unsucessfully tries to kindle the inner flame, to have a friendly chat. An impossible dilemma in his eyes...

Memories flood his mind. Images of people long forgotten. His companions, his friends - people who sat with him by the gate for years. What a group it was... and after them, new people came. Those were gone now as well... and he is alone once more.

Why can't I spend the rest of my life on a bench like the others, on in my quarters, playing games with fellow veterans or reading something other than studies of Corruption? Why do I have to drive myself further, why not just stop, for once, after decades? How many times did I ask myself this question?

It's knowledge you crave. Do not stop. Curiosity may have killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.

Do I crave knowledge though, or revenge? If it is wisdom I seek, why is it only about the ancient enemy? No, it is war in my heart that drives me forward, war that will never stop. Be it the Corruption or Doguns.

As for the saying, I would rather not be brought back, especially with the matter I am dealing with.

Not as dry in here is Czechia, but getting quite hot. We don't really have solar panels, but we have basically everything else. Where is the silence?
