I have no doubts that the government isn't going to pass any legislation restricting ai

so either the industry regulates itself

or we have unfettered ai usage

and I'm hoping for the former

because the latter is scary

and is a threat to democracy

is ai actually intelligent? can it become sentient?

hell no, it's just good at finding patterns

but still, it is really powerful

it should be heavily regulated

to protect workers and consumers

whether by the government or the industry itself

and if they don't, we can make them listen

but please, do so peacefully

I think the solution is a misguided idealist terrorist group that finds a way to EMP the whole world to send us back to our simple, pre-industrial ways
