these actually match up fairly well with the classes base stats too. I'm not going to argue that it's official or anything, just that there is a general thematic correlation.

Well yes if you go by 'thematic correlation' you can justify anything. Doesn't mean it's actually like that in the game though.

When you enter the realm of thematic correlation you simultaneously enter the realm of opinion and preferably the realm of uz. Thereby, I can pretty much say whatever I want and this conversation is pointless. Why am I writing this again?

If I ever draw the classes, I'm drawing a fallen-paladin (fire/earth) warrior, a trickstepper (thunder/fire) assassin, a boltslinger (thunder/air) archer, a riftbender (air/water) mage, and a ritualist-summoner (earth/water) shaman. Yes those elements are randomly out of order and no I don't care. I am fully welcoming of my own insanity.
