Build a tower inside your heart, and deconstruct it brick by brick exactly as you built it. Keep it there so that you may return to it anytime. Could the tower be said to be there today? tomorrow? in a week? The tower is always there.

Unfortunately, any throne I currently inhabit is tenuous, as I am still an Aspirant. The only throne I probably semi-permanently maintain currently is the role of a youtuber and a regional manager. If those two roles were to be wrenched from my hands in a way that was conventional I don't think I'd have to worry about it. If it was unconventional, I would probably utilize the power afforded to those positions
(Though, tbh, as a youtuber I have like no power, and like, the only thing that could depose me would be slashing my reputation, and any form of that would be conventional and defendable...probably)
Hm, about the "every action sharpens the blade" thing, assuming Jedi count as gods, I think us clones qualify to kill them and take their thrones, although I'm not so sure about other gods. Do you know of any weak gods I could get a few of the boys to go and test it on?
