Before my level 83 hardcore ironman assassin profile was set for deletion due to a remote host disconnect in the middle of CLS, I solo'd Bob and I honestly feel like it was a much more bearable fight because unlike Rymek Luke you can approach him without being turned into dust by an overweight bow.
The Warrior phase had this bs pull into a heavy charge but I feel like as long as you keep track of the combo to dodge it in the right moment, you can survive. I was once pulled spot on into it and lost 5k health out of 8k with 40-50 defense. Not the biggest fan of the fight turning into a pull roulette but it's still better than some jackass easily capable of killing you AND regenerating at insane rates.
Regen should keep you on your toes fighting, right? That's what Bob was a little overboard with but wasn't insufferable. As Assassin, you can easily pounce towards Bob with vanish and stunlock him while dealing tons of damage as long as you are aware of your surroundings and not walk into his swords' spells.
Rymek Luke is capable of clapping you alone the moment his spin stun runs out, if you decide to be more careful and at least wait between your attacks to not charge him with barely any mana, he regenerates every single bit of damage you've dealt by the time you get back. Ranged classes decimate him the moment they enter but I'm a melee class and boss altar connoisseur myself and rewards considered so that sucks.
This is not my first rant about Rymek Luke and probably not the last, but as far as I see I won't be coming back to him anytime soon unless I decide to play something else other than Assassin. It pains me to leave an altar behind but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to keep yourself sane. At least that new Gavel boss altar could make it up for me.
Luckily, most bosses are getting their hpr removed or severely nerfed in 1.20, but yeah. A boss has no right to heal back its health simply by existing.
