Well, in my free time I try to study Northern Sámi (probably the one I'm most invested in), Mandarin Chinese, and Esperanto (my friend wanted to). I take Spanish in school, and in preparation for future trips, I should try to learn some Finnish, Norwegian and Croatian. I'm also interested in Hindi, Hungarian, and Greek.
Northern Sámi is one of the Sámi languages, part of the Uralic family. It's spoken in Sápmi, which covers mid-to-northern Norway, Sweden, northern Finland and the Kola Peninsula.
Esperanto is a constructed "international" language, not affiliated with any part of the world (though it is very eurocentric).
Esperanto is designed to have very simple grammar with no exceptions, and a 1-1 correspondence between letters and sounds. Most of the words come from Romance languages (like Spanish, Italian, etc.), and some from Germanic (English, German, so on).
Supposedly the grammar is from Slavic languages (Russian, Polish, ...).
In my opinion, it doesn’t really have the same charm as a natural language, and because it is so regular, it feels a bit stale to me.
