This next message is long enough that I need to send it in multiple parts.

I believe that the explosion and lack of cutscene when Dr. Picard tries to look at your memory is meant to show that you have no accessible memories from Fruma whatsoever.

Reynauld, Caid, and Edwin's memories could be seen, but the player is thrown across the room.

We can see that they were taken for no obvious reason and sent to Wynn.

Considering other small bits of lore around Fruma, they were likely just arrested to be traded to Wynn as soldiers for money or some other goods.

The player, on the other hand, is completely unable to access their Fruman memories, so that suggests that they needed a more thorough mind-wipe.

The only reasonable possibility I see for doing this is that the player had known something important about the Fruman government that the government didn't want to escape.

This likely means that the player was one of three things; a rebel against the government, a (former) government employee, or someone unfortunate enough to stumble across some horrible secret the government had.

Any of these would probably require a more thorough mind-wipe to completely forget, resulting in what we see in the quest with Dr. Picard.

Sorry for the long reply, I just really enjoy looking farther into Wynncraft's lore.

Oh, and if the player was a rebel, it's possible that they were helping a rebellion that eventually lead to Corkus, as they are also from Fruma, but rather that being sent to Wynn, they escaped.
