    Is he referring to the item that you obtain after drilling the dragon bone? If so, there's a chance that fixquests might work, or that returning to drill-repair minigame might give him the item.

    The item that you get after drilling the dragon bone seems to be different than the dragon bone shard that you receive before talking to Plario.
