one thing I never understood is how people can read in mania, I can't even do like 1*

also i'd like to take this time to dispel the myth that mania players are inherently good at std streams
1. reading std is difficult because it looks nothing like mania
2. alternating two fingers on the same hand in mania is actually a tech pattern if long enough; it's called oht (one-handed trill)
also if a std player were to transition to mania they'd have a second hand's worth of buttons to worry about
