I think it would've been better to keep the discussion as a separate thread, partially bcoz that way we can keep questions on the thread itself, and it prevents certain conversations from being drowned out..
What difference would it make if ihe discussion was on another thread? It would still had happend (although I actually think it wouldn't) just in a diferent place.
Well, yeah, of course they would. I wasn't saying that comments should be banned or that that would have solved the problem of hate comments, but I felt that the discussion should have been moved to a seperate thread(s). Just my opinion. Or at least, they should have blocked certain people making unnecessary insults, unrelated talk, or similar to keep the discussion focused on questions and legitimate concerns.
" I wasn't saying that comments should be banned"
"they should have blocked certain people making unnecessary insults, unrelated talk, or similar to keep the discussion focused on questions and legitimate concerns."
I'm lost for words.
What I meant was that comments as a whole shouldn't have been banned
Most discussion should be encouraged
What should not be encouraged is senseless insults without thinking ahead or actually putting thought into them. Or, making jokes and insults at the CTs expense, or complaining incessantly and when being called out for your whining claiming it to be a joke, and trying to play victim.
