sowwy xavier your music is great and all but i dislike how you make dungeons pass from "this place sucks i better beat this fast or shit is gonna happen" to "WOOHOO ADVENTURE FREE XP GRIND BATTLE" D:
compare the galleon graveyard music to the music needlr made
the difference of which makes you feel like you entered here wanting to and because the place isnt spoopy is clear
how is galleon's graveyard not scary it has freaking shark people and undead everywhere and you're at the bottom of a cave in the ocean without anyone knowing you're there and you don't even know if there's a way out at the end.
Not all the dungeons are creepy in tone. Thus, why make the music intimidating for those? Yes, there are the ones that are intimidating, but not all of them really are. Galleon's Graveyard, while there is undead everywhere, it is probably pirate themed because, well, the dungeon is more pirate themed. Also, the songs all fit their dungeons, so Idk what the complaint really is about.
Which dungeon isn't intimidating? They all are to me.
Also Undergrowth Ruins sounds very funky and happy for the lair of an evil shaman who uses dark magic and lives amongst failed living weapons experiments which are slowly growing in power and consuming stuff at a rapid rate
which bit?
it was known slykaar was an evil shaman and the slimes are failed experiments when the dungeon was released, but the dark magic bit only really came in last update.
still, that's fine.
well... actually i just miss the leitmotif all of them had
check all the old ones, you will hear how they all sound pretty similar
i liked how they all sounded like that and now thats gone
your songs are good but they dont fit with what needlr did
But how do you make it intimidating, when a pirate themed song sounds basically just like that. Think of the theme as if you're in a whirlpool, or you're in a very stormy night out at sea, you can barely see anything, and lightning is striking here there and everywhere. That's what the stereotypical pirate life is all about, and that song captures that feel. It's not trying to be a meme.
