But shadows are cast as a shape with length width and height, making them 3D. The actual shadows on the ground are 2D, but that is only one side of the shadow
But they do have depth, they are a slanted volume of area cast from the blocked light. You can only see it on the ground, but it is 3D. Release enough dust into the air, and you should be able to observe the lack of light using the Tyndall effect.
But when I say 'shadow' I mean the part that's on the ground, or the walls, that can physically only be 2D. Not the blocking of light that is present when you stand in light. That's just the casting of a shadow, the actual shadow is what appears on the ground/walls/whatever. That's what I refer to as a shadow.
So thus, a 3D shadow, would be an entity like us, that is in a 3D shape, and is round in a body like shape, but the actual body, is impossible to see. Because the actual body would be 4D
