Homestuck is an 'interactive' webcomic written by Andrew Hussie. The start of it can be quite slow, so I suggest if you read it you really stick with it. There are sections in the webcomic where you get to sort of control the characters and walk around with them, interacting with areas in the comic and speaking with other characters. You can read it here: http://www.mspaintadventures.com/?s=6&p=001901
It's an anime.
No but seriously yes it's a webcomic about a game.
But the game itself is a tool to create something... BIG.
There are also aliens and shipping.
Also buckets.
No, the story is linear. You might be thinking of it pre-Act 4, when Hussie allowed people on the (long dead) MSPaintadventures forums, when people could submit commands to change the story. Hussie changed this because he found it too hard to write a coherent story, so took over control.
By the way since we're talking about MsPaint adventures, what's the history about this website? Did Hussie create it to make his Quests (It's a /tg/ term) and then ecentually made homestuck and then fandom exploded and start making their own AU's?
'Save Game' saves the page you're currently on.
'Load Game' will take you back to your 'Save' (The page you saved on), so you don't need to look through your history/bookmark your pages
'Delete Game Data' removes your save.
It has an ending, but there's going to be an epilogue. There's nothing confirmed yet, but some people believe it'll be released as a book due to Hussie teaming up with Viz Media.
