right now we have cloud nine, breath of the vampire, spearmint, frenzy, and lost soul
spearmint is from craftmas and is overpriced as hell
breath of the vampire is level 81
cloud nine is defensive
frenzy is walk speed and fast melee based
lost soul is level 87 AND IT'S THE CLOSEST THING WE HAVE TO AN AIR SPEAR MADE FOR FIGHTING
ok now tell me which id on bylvis' pitchfork other than +air damage is a character of an air weapon
oh wait
(point is, bylvis' pitchfork is like infused hive in that it's a multielemental weapon that certainly can be used for air, but it's not that good as a pure-air weapon)
It has higher than normal base damage and mana regen in addition to the air damage, and it has earth damage on it which will help even if you go pure air. And all of the elements are in high percentages.
the air damage is the only one it really NEEDS to be an offensive air option, that's the thing. the mana regen isn't necessarily air-related, but the reflection was intended to be(with the thorns rounding out the earth affinity), and again, given its higher than normal base damage and capacity for the almighty attack tier boost...
id rather use braker than bylvis' pitchfork even if its counter intuitive
bylvis' pitchfork is a lvl 99 unique spear with 20% air damage
and thats the only "good" pure air spear we have
Slider is not a dexterity weapon, and needs powders, so if we're counting that literally ANY WEAPON with powder slots is an air weapon. Black is multi-element, so if we count that then we should count Harwol, Voidstone Arpes, Hero, Drifting Spear, Crack the Skies, Earth drift, Bane of War, ETC as air weapons, which we aren't in this argument,
which just leaves lightning edge, an item that, while decent, isn't really that great compared to other options for other elements, and is rather lackluster compared to the options other classes have, like Corrupted Witherhead's Bow, Wick, and Judas
