Technically, it's a spectrum from female to male. That makes the number infinite. As to how many there are functionally, that's open to interpretation, and unknown, at this time, as the research just isn't there, yet.
CisMale/Female means your gender identity matches up with your biological sex, as in it's on the same side of the spectrum. TransMale/Female means your gender identity is on the other side of the spectrum. Both are confident in their gender identity.
Genderfluid means someone who is close to the center of the spectrum, encompassing traits and expressions of both males and females. Agender means the individual does not conform to the standard binary spectrum. Got it?
And around we go, again. I'm not even going to try to explain it. Biological sex =/= gender. Proven. Biologically proven.
Why some people still believe that the earth is flat, I just do not understand.
The flat earth debate doesn't really revolve around semantics though, you can't really compare that to a shitshow of a discussion where people have 50 different definitions of gender.
Penis, vagina, or both, sometimes, depends on the presence or absence of a Y chromosome, and several other factors. That's the sex of a person. Gender is the internal mental feelings of the person, and it's dependent, very heavily, on the hormones present during gestation. It's why some people don't "feel" that they have the same gender as their biological sex.
I don't even understand what you said there, Spring. What someone perceives their gender to be, is there true gender. Gender is not the same as a person's biological sex. A person who is born with XX chromosomes is biologically female, however, they may have the brain structure and chemistry of a male.
Their gender is male/lesbian. They think, dress, and act like a male because they have male brain structure and chemistry, even though they were born with a female reproductory system.
Born with XX chromosomes = female sexual characteristics.
Male identity, therefor have male gender and prefer females in romantic relationships.
Therefore, lesbian.
trans men who are attracted to women are not "male lesbians" holy shit do words have no meaning anymore??? the definition for a lesbian is a woman who likes women, chromosomes or biological sex has nothing to do with it, fuck outta here with this "male lesbian" bullshit
Trans people can still acknowledge that they were born biologically male/female though.
It then depends on what you need to define somebody as a "woman" to apply the label of "lesbian" to them.
Let's take somebody who is claiming to be trans, was born with a penis, XY chromosomes, has no desires to transition either physically or socially. That person is also attracted to women.
