Why does Beat Drop cancel Wall Ride? And why can't it be vice versa?

Because drop the beat requires you to *drop* to the floor, and the wall is not the floor.

I mean cancel, like you can prevent yourself from dropping the beat by wall riding, so you don't waste your ult or fall to your death because you're dropping into a pit

But, why are you beat dropping into a pit, and shouldn't booping someone ulting actually be gratifying rather than them getting back up?

No, because dying to an explosion's kb is stupid, and you're still canceling someone's ult either way

Lucio's ult gets totally used up if he dies, right? No animation cancel?

No if he dies before completion he keeps it; the ult is only used the moment he actually gives the shields
