I'm noticing you're quite insecure about your appearance in general - or pretending to.
But, I had glasses from my 5th until I was 13 or so.
Puberty, worrying about how you look. Took 'em off too.
And after a while, I stopped needing them too.
I dunno about "insecurance about appearance", probably slightly looking back at stuff I'm saying. I usually try not to alter the way i am over the internet to the way i am in real life, so i guess whatever ur reading here is whatever I'm actually thinking/would do in real life.
Well, in the shoutbox, you mentioned that your picture looked like crap. In the topic, it said something like "please don't hate" too. That's what I derived it from, anyway.
But, yeah. Staying true to yourself. That's a good thing. I like that. I mean, I try my best to do the same.
But at the same time, because people don't know your past, it's a fresh start too.
Not that I mind telling - it's just something that requires a lot of trust because it was an unpleasant time - and is. xD
I agree, neither do they need to know the past, yet taking on a totally new personality for online things is not necessary, or could i do it if i wanted to.
Thats something that actually really gets on my nerves… when people act like idiots because they are anonymous.
"just the internet" doesn't exist. Personally i don't think its too tragic if people not nice to me personally, usually theres some way to block them out, and as they don't know the person they are upsetting, its hard to hit a vibe that will hit home. (i know this doesn't fit in with what said previously about me lol).
I do know that others are very offended about this aswell, and it can lead to serious problems. I mean if it wouldn't, the phrase cyber mobbing would not exist.
People insulting over the internet is a problem that no one can really manage… if people would just behave like they do in real life (i hope) numbers of those cases would go down.
Well, for me, personally - I'm not really bothered by much myself, but I always want to stand up for others. Even if they don't actually complain about anything themselves. There are a few sensitive snares, though. But you won't see them as much in English.
It's quite annoying, though, me always having to stand up for others. It's who and how I am. And on the internet, there's really not much you can do.
I do my best standing up to people. Which is sadly not a lot, i don't actively get into arguments to settle them or anything…
We have probably all already been insulting someone over the internet, even the good people under us. Sadly everything mounts up, and then theres those that seem to do it as i kind of sport.
Thats a really stupid way to put a useful phrase… just saying.
As i mentioned.. useful phrase. I agree with it, but I'm not the kind of person that does that, more like someone who has his thought on things but doesn't necessarily say it.
But, yeah, Former. I mean, if I go through a bad time just a single drop is enough to get me drinking again. I try to stay away from it as much as possible now, but a beer every now and then doesn't hurt.
Jason don't be mean! This equation is party correct, as the amount of "drunk" is proportional to the amount of "wine", with the ability to handle alcohol as the constant of proportionality , K.
Im glad to see you understand.
Yes… i thought that members here were 12+ at least, as apparently things are supposed to be pg something-or-rather-low around these places.
Nothing againt him joining forums, its his decision after all.
