And by inactive, I mean that there hasn't been a reply on it for like, about 2 or so months...

The reason why I ask this, is because it just seems like it could be something that is possible, but if someone has a reason as to why this isn't a thing... then I am all ears, as I am making it into a suggestion thread if there is no reason why it doesn't exist.

They get locked after a year with no replies.

Well, I mean... that's a little silly IMO... I mean, a post is considered a Necro post if it is after about 2 or so months of inactivity... So, is there a like, reason that this auto lock system can't be changed to like, 2 months or less?

Sometimes posts get necroed that were actually good and just went inactive for a while.

True... but it's just like, idk... it seems like there could be an auto lock thing, and then if the owner of the thread wants to update the thread, or wants to revive the thread, then they could ask a moderator.

However, this is just my feelings, and you might have a reason why this can't happen, but I feel like maybe that could work?

It would probably work either way... Maybe it's a pain to code or something idk

hmm, maybe... I feel like I could also just get the idea out there, and maybe the Admins could touch base as to why it is the way it is.

Mainly because I just feel like it would be better than just, a person accidentally Necroposts, and then they get in trouble for it.

While I understand that they should be more observant, I feel like it would be better on the mods, and the people as a whole if it was like this...

I'll probably be posting a thread on this, I'll just give it a bit more thought as to how the system will go, and then I'll let the Admins decide what they think.

People usually don't get in trouble for necroposting we just lock it.
Unless they go and necro a hundred threads just to do it or something

Oh, well because it just says that it's against the forums rules.. so I just kinda assumed people get in trouble for it... either way though, I feel like it'd be a little bit of a better system than the one currently.
