I usually scale mine down before uploading them though, otherwise they're wayy too big

Imgur accepts images 10MB or less. If the image would be too big on the forums you can scale them in the edit mode. Then you can post them directly through the forums by selecting the image button and .png to the image url.

After you upload your image to Imgur, there should be a little tab in the top right of the picture. Mouse over it, and chose "edit image" From there you can crop or change dimensions. Afterwards just hit save.
