Another tick off for Overwatch- almost all of it's female characters are sexualized. While TF2 is not justified for not having female characters, the only thing worse than not having them is objectifying them to where they stop being characters.

The FPS genre has reached a point where it's impossible to simply make a game that plays solid, and have people appreciate it. The reason that the genre is called FPS is because you're supposed to shoot. You're not supposed to be the motherfucking Jesus of robots who also believes in murder.

You're just supposed to fucking unload rounds into the infidels.

Both. In my opinion the last good 'FPS' game was Call of Duty 4. I'd call shooters with stories a whole different genre.

FPS is just complicated pointing and clicking. The only two games I've seen that successfully create something more than that is TF2 and Overwatch.
I'm sure you can tell which one I prefer by now.

Both games are good, but comparing the two is complete and utter bullshit. Yes, TF2 is grounded in a 'lore', but Blizzard tried to make you feel like you where doing shit, and not just another solider.

The characters have cool things to do too, so it's not just run and shoot or go invis

Variety or a lack thereof is what makes gameplay good. If a game has a small selection of very different things, it will feel just as diverse as a game wih tons of small differences. If a player has to adapt that makes the gameplay fun and engaging. Games like Overwatch, which try to be story-shooters, and TF2 which tries to be a FPS, are seen as just as diverse in the eye of an unbiased player for those reasons.

I have over 1k hours on TF2 and like 50 hours on OW, and I'd like to say for you to shut the fuck up and don't talk shit about either games. Thank you.

The thing with TF2 is that rediculous strategies often turn out to be the best. In Overwatch, you don't get the option of different sidegrades to create new and interesting strategies. You're stuck.

The only thing I like better about Overwatch is how you don't really see your own stats, so you focus less on bringing your kdr up and more on actual team objectives.
