YO so I found the issue
I don't think theres a way of explaining this thats quick though, nor do i know how to fix it.
See, our router has 4 lights (5 technically) and 1 needs to be on to power 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 4, and 4 to 5.
It's impossible to have, say, 5 on, if any of 1-4 are off.
Somehow though, the router isn't working fully- and 5 is turning on while 2-4 are off. 4 is what powers the internet connectivity.

Since 5 is on though, it registers everything as being okay, and doesnt even attempt to fix 2-4.
That's why the internet today was being so horrible- the connection was actually out the whole time, but it wasn't fully registered.
