I've spent three solid hours on her, and she is about as weak as zenyata was. Her abilities are meant to be used as a different style of Zenyata's denial, but to be highly flexible as a team player for bursts of healing. However, the lack of mobility coupled with her squishiness makes her an easily eliminated target, making her Mercy's emo sister who just wants to shoot things and heal. 1/2
Her main issue is the strain of having to balance all the team healing on top of staying alive, seeing as the only ability she has that can control a situation consistently is her ultimate, and that is really just meant for buying time in a competitive situation. 2/2
Overall, she's fun, but impractical
The problem is you're trying to make her the only support. She's meant to be a secondary, giving heals from safety. E.x. combining her with Lucio can be INSANE. Lucio will give group heals, and people really low can get heals from Ana. You just need to find a spot at the back where she can stay safe.
The issue with being at the back of the team is her survivability. If any of the good flanking or 1v1 heroes gets close to you "It's game over man. Game over." Unless you're snipe healing a bastion on defense, the application of healing from afar is only applicable on control point maps where you do not have to stay as mobile as would be desired. 1/2 sorry for so many of these
The scenario you listed above can also be filled by Mercy, who is decently mobile, and is arguably more versatile as a healer than Ana. Sure ana can heal from further away, and her ultimate is offensive rather than reactionary, Mercy simply is a much more consistent healer. Most of the time on an offensive push with Ana, you're stuck chasing the cart slowly, hoping not to get flanked. 2/2
Eh, I don't know. I think Ana has a lot of potential, her abilities provide a good shutdown. Her sleep dart is pretty much an ult cancel, and she can prevent healing along with DOUBLING HEALING EFFECTIVENESS on allies. She has a lot of abilities to make up for her low normal healing.
