Any city that requires a car to get to any large part of the city gets a minus in my book. I'm spoiled by NYC public transit and the ability to walk anywhere.

Take the bus. Seattle has a great bus system.

Yeah, but buses still have to deal with traffic :( I like being able to walk absolutely anywhere then take a subway back.
