Yeah, I've always preferred drawn avatars over renders. Renders are basically just your Minecraft skin in a cool pose. Drawings actually build on your character and give it more life.
@yotamdin fit my character quite well with what he had to work with :p
I don't look much different when drawn out, I just look extremely unamused about the sparkles surrounding me xD
Hmm, I can see what you mean about how drawings show more attitude and personality. I still think renders can leave strong impressions. Ex: I think @PixelVox did an amazing job with all of his renders. I especially like my profile render (no bias here) because it really seems like it pops out and shows something
Also, @yotamdin does a great job showing bits of character in his renders. I especially liked a render he did of someone, showing them lounging on a dock while fishing
