They're not really similar at all, iirc. ADHD is Attention Deficient/Hyperactive Disorder, I believe, meaning you can't sit still and you're always focusing on different things.
What ganon said is true, but it can go deeper than just that, at least from my experience of having it, and living with it, I have a lot of emotions just explode/spike at points, like, if I lose at a game, I can get really angry very easily, or if a family member dies, or a sad part of a game happens, I get heavy sadness very easily. It's hard to explain, but that's what it is.
meh, I get an above-average IQ out of it, so I consider myself lucky to have it. Also I had counseling for 3 years, so it doesn't effect me as much. (Thank god I had a more minor form, and currently the only noticeable effect is how scatterbrained and blatant I can be.)
from my own personal experiences with autistic people i have started to thinnk that they are hyperfocused on one single thing. the person that i know is hyperfocused on nascar and hockey (though i think the last one is because hes canadian)
