The reason I put this is due to the recent controversy revolving around Spyro's recent theory post, when it was shown that he made the thread just to prove Pillow and bank wrong, I developed an aggressive attitude towards Spyrohawk.
When I answer a question that I strongly disagree with and/or am against (salty people, assholes, plasma dragonite, etc.) my mindset of answering questions is "I WILL make sure that they get what I'm saying or ELSE", and if you look at my posts, you'll notice that some of them use this sort of mindset.
And before you accuse me of being an attention hog, I've already said it: It's just how I answer questions/angry threads, and judging by how these kinds of "rant" posts of mine tend to get popular, it seems I really do achieve my mindset of "getting it straight to the point", and thus, promotes me to make more "rant" posts when they are needed.
I do hope you understand on what I am getting at, keep in mind, I don't answer EVERY question aggressively, if it's a normal question like "how do I breed horses?", I simply answer it in the most direct way possible, but if it's a thread like "LE merchants/Soul points are stupid, they should be removed", well, yeah.
I agree with most of what you are saying, but the whole "I WILL make sure that they get what I'm saying or ELSE" mindset, especially the Or Else part, is just going to make you come off as a complete jerk to people and you'll already get off to a bad start to them, including the newcomers.
Well like I said, if a new player is asking a simple question about something, I'll simply answer it in a very direct and polite fashion, but if they are being rude to people answering their question, then they shall, as some say, "feel my wrath"
I think a majority of this aggressive mindset developed from trying to talk some sense into a certain someone.
