Well, the Sealed Letters are more up-to-date on Bob lore... maybe it was CoW then, but it could be a bigger bad now.

The text in the letters is consistent with the story, but it suggests Bob died fighting some sort of beast in Dern (dark creature of the night in a land "far" away), rather than CoW. I just thought I'd give my 2 cents on this.

This is rather interesting, for this is actually the first time I've actually read all the sealed letters combined together. I stand corrected.
