(What kinds of things do you learn in the Chinese I course?)

Also a native speaker, but I can't write or recognize many words before I took the class. We just learn basic things, like 你好, 谢谢, 这, 那, and such.

So far I learned how to start/end conversations, say my name, age, address, schools/grade level, city, countries, nationality, family, dates, days of the weeks, and how to write characters. Chinese seems easy for me, just takes time and practice. xD

I only have 7 students in my class, including myself, and my Chinese teacher is Chinese, so she sometimes tells us stories when she was living in China, and sneaks food into the class for us. xD

Not too keen on grammar, but I don't think that should mean that.

No, it was supposed to mean "Hello, I'm a Chinese person"
