Now it depends on how people take the order.
1st method, the one you learn in class:
6/2*(1+2)=6/2*3=3*3=9
2nd method, the one some people see:
6/[2*(1+2)]=6/(2*3)=6/6=1
Crathy it has nothing to with the plus, it's some thing I learned where you take the number outside of the parentheses (2) and multiply it by the 2 numbers inside (1+2) so it would be 2+4, thus getting rid of the parentheses and the 2.
I enjoy seeing you guys discuss. This community is very open, some of you came to the conclusion that answers change depending on the method followed. This is stark different to what I viewed on Facebook today where people literally kill each other over the 'right' answer. Nice to see ;)
