I think the minecraft servers were being DDOSd. A ton on minecraft servers were down, had very few people, or laggy as heck recently,

I know that but I feel That it was related because every time I tried to get on the forums the DDOS protection thing was up.

The dDoS protection was up because the forums got dDoSed... What does that have to do with the server?

Hm maybe there could be possibly some relation between a Minecraft server's forums gettin DDOSd, AND A bunch of minecraft servers getting DDOSd. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize they probably are related.
