World Loot Crates And Boxes

Well, let's get started. Loot crates are practically chests, except they are disguised falling sand entities dropped by mobs, but are usually better than loot chests, and the loot scales the higher you level. They will contain the usual loot from chests, or can contain exclusive cosmetics (for Gold Coins/ranks)

There will be 4 tiers:

KEY: When specified what colour, it is only one set of items from that colour group.
- Red: Varient I
- Blue: Varient II
- Green: Varient III

Tier I - Wooden Crate
Common crate drop, with a 1% chance to drop from any mob
Can contain only one from Red:

(Emeralds):
lv 1 - 10 | 9-21 emeralds
lv 11-25 | 17-53 emeralds
lv 26-45 | 62-104 emeralds
lv 46-65 | 125-210 emeralds
lv 65+ | 242-327 emeralds

(Items):
A unique (70%), rare (25%), or legendary (5%) within 5 levels above and below your current level.

Tier II - Reinforced Crate
Uncommon crate drop, with a 0.15% chance to drop from any mob
Can contain only one from Red, or one from Red and Blue:

(Emeralds):
lv 1 - 10 | 21-44 emeralds
lv 11-25 | 65-143 emeralds
lv 26-45 | 171-220 emeralds
lv 46-65 | 250-349 emeralds
lv 65+ | 419-512 emeralds

(Items):
A unique (50%), rare (35%), or legendary (15%) within 5 levels above and below your current level.

(Multiplier)
x2 Emeralds in the crate if emeralds are found
x2 Items in the crate if items are found

Tier III - Ancient Wynnic Box
Very rare box drop, with a 0.02% chance to drop from mobs lv30+
Can only be opened by VIP(+)s
Can contain one from Red and Green or one from Red, Blue and Green.

(Emeralds):
lv 1 - 10 | 21-44 emeralds
lv 11-25 | 65-143 emeralds
lv 26-45 | 171-220 emeralds
lv 46-65 | 250-349 emeralds
lv 65+ | 419-512 emeralds

(Items):
A unique (50%), rare (35%), or legendary (15%) within 5 levels above and below your current level.

(Cosmetic)
Contains only ONE of the following:

Mythic Particle effect (purple ender)

Potion Particle effect (assorted potion particles)

Skeleton Disguise

Rabbit Disguise (When 1.8)

If only VIP+ can open tier III I'm pretty sure that it doesn't work with the EULA.

It contains all tier II loot except for the cosmetics.

 

This is an interesting concept, to say the least, but they seem too powerful for when they drop. I mean, sure you only have a 0.02% chance for a Tier 3, but the fact that they have an abnormally high chance of legendary items in comparison to the rest of the game mechanics, and at the current max level of 75, 15% chance of a legendary essentially means that there is a 15% chance for the 4 strongest legendary weapons excluding mythics, or an adamantine, which would create drastic price changes. This sort of system in my opinion requires some consideration for the odds to receive certain tiers of equipment.

Oh, and also, with only 5 level variance for gear, it would mean via your current system that it would be impossible for level 75s to obtain Uniques OR rares as there are currently none which reach level 70+. another factor which needs consideration.

 

It should not be against the Eula if it is cosmetic, however maybe make a system where if u get a cosmetic item from a tier III chest, it is put in a different menu, but you still receive the loot from the tier III box. Otherwise you would get free emeralds or weapons. When other players can't. It might say you have to be a Vip/Vip+ to use the cosmetic item

I agree with this, the legendary drop chance is too high for that box, maybe more like 5% max for the legendaries?
And for the lowest tier 1% and then 2.5 %?

Although, with some coding magic, maybe you at the max level u can only receive emeralds from a box, but at LV 74 you can still get armour because u can get a unique item call Ekeloch (I think that's the name), but this bit needs to be rethought with regards to the farming legendaries

Love the idea though! Could really add a incentive for grinding!

Nvermind. Its like a chance of finding boxes. But then people will maybe just go on Wynn for that and not the other content that the server has.
