Game Mechanics Neutral Mythics

?

Should each class have a neutral damage mythic weapon?

  1. Yes, and it won't need a lot of balancing.

    Is it... logical? Maybe not.
    Is it... possible? Definitely.
Is it... gamebreaking? Not at all.
    Is it... meta? Probably never.

Is it... fun? That's for you to decide.

I think it's time that we addressed one of Wynncraft's core features. Neutral damage. What is neutral damage? It is damage that does not rely on elemental bonuses nor is it impacted by elemental defenses. It is, in the truest sense, pure damage.

The time has come, then, for there to be an endgame option that doesn't interact with elemental balance. We need... neutral mythic weapons.

Yes, I understand that part of the endgame balance is focusing on which elements or stats you want to min/max (or for rainbow builds, even out) to fill out your perfect mythic build. What fun then would it be if we could simply build whatever we wanted and our weapon doesn't care what kind of armor and accessories we build around it? Imagine the possibilities.

We have an item set in the >100 level range called the Empty Set. We even have Fabled weapons that do neutral damage! It only seems logical that now each class should have one mythic that is completely neutral.

No, it shouldn't be the greatest weapon in the game, and no, it shouldn't be complete garbage that should be tossed as soon as you get a new mythic. It should be balanced in such a way that your armor and accessories are what determine how your build will feel. This mythic could be used for a tank, for a dps-maxxer, for a lootrunner, or even for someone who just wants to occasionally run world events on their own.

The idea is to create a mythic for each class that doesn't shape the rest of your build around it, but bends to the player's will. Let's make it happen.

(sorry in advance, I have a headache and have just chugged a monster so this entire post is likely to read as the ramblings of a sleep-deprived, caffeine-fueled madman)
